At Rest and Restore Massage, I strive to create a professional, comfortable, and relaxing environment for every client. These policies help ensure clarity, fairness, and a smooth experience for everyone.
Booking & Cancellations
Appointments are reserved just for you. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Missed appointments or late cancellations may be subject to a 50% fee, as it is difficult to fill the spot on short notice.
Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may need to be shortened to stay on schedule. The full treatment fee will still apply. In some cases, the session may be extended if the therapist's schedule permits.
Payment
Current accepted methods: cash, e-transfer, debit/credit or cheque.
Refunds: Refunds are not typically provided once a treatment has been completed. If an issue arises, please contact me directly to discuss.
Tips: Tips are welcome but absolutely not necessary, and will not be accepted once I am Registered. The best tip you can give me right now is to share your experience and recommend Rest and Restore Massage to your friends and family.
Insurance Billing
Direct billing for insurance is not available at this time. Starting November 2025, once I become a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), direct billing will be offered and treatments will be eligible for insurance coverage.
RMT Rates
My rates will be lower as I work as a Spa Massage Therapist while working towards my Board Exams for RMT. In November 2025, my rates will increase to match RMT rates in the area.
Conduct & Respect
Creating a safe, comfortable, and professional environment is my top priority. Inappropriate, disrespectful, or harassing behavior will not be tolerated and will result in immediate termination of the session.
Health & Safety
Please share any health conditions, injuries, or concerns with me before your treatment so I can provide safe and effective care. If you are feeling unwell, I kindly ask that you reschedule your appointment.
Client Intake & Consent
Before your first session, a completed health history and signed informed consent form are required. Consent is ongoing and can be withdrawn at any time. Updates to your health information should be communicated promptly.
Guardian consent for minors – guardian must be present at initial appointment interview under 12 years old
Walk-Ins
At this time, walk-in appointments are not available. As a sole practitioner, all sessions are by appointment only to ensure that all treatments are conducted in a professional, prepared, and uninterrupted environment. Clients are encouraged to use the online booking system to view current availability for last minute openings or to join the waitlist for short-notice openings.
Termination of Care Policy
Care may be terminated at the discretion of the therapist if:
• Clinic policies are repeatedly violated
• The therapeutic relationship is no longer appropriate or effective
• There is harassment, misconduct, or unsafe behaviour
Confidentiality
All client information is strictly confidential and handled in accordance with provincial regulations and the Health Information Act. Information will only be released with written consent or as required by law.
Thank you for respecting these policies — they allow me to provide the best possible care while maintaining a professional and restorative space for everyone.
